Who We Are

Baseline is an iOS app published by Steady State Labs, LLC, an independent software company based in Austin, Texas, USA. This policy describes how Baseline handles user data, and is the official privacy policy referenced in the App Store and within the app itself.

Data Collection

Baseline collects no personal information. Your workout logs, exercises, sets, mesocycle plans, and any other data you enter are stored locally on your device using Apple's native storage frameworks. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to Steady State Labs or to any third party.

What We Store & Where

Tracking

Baseline does not engage in "tracking" as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework. We do not link any data from this app with data from other apps, websites, or third-party data brokers, and we do not share data with data brokers for advertising or any other purpose.

Purchases & Subscriptions

Baseline Pro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription processed entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Steady State Labs never sees your payment information, Apple ID, or any personal details associated with a purchase. Subscription management — including cancellation — is handled through your Apple ID settings on your device. Apple's privacy policy governs how purchase data is handled on Apple's side.

Data Export & Backup

Baseline Pro can create a full-notebook JSON backup and CSV exports. These files are created locally and leave your device only when you choose a destination through Apple’s system interface. Imported backups are processed entirely on your device.

When you trigger an export, Baseline writes a temporary file locally and presents the standard iOS share sheet. From there, you choose the destination — such as Files, AirDrop, Messages, email, or another share target installed on your phone.

Baseline does not automatically send exported data anywhere. Nothing leaves your device unless you explicitly choose a destination.

iCloud Backup

If you have iCloud Backup enabled on your device, your Baseline data may be included in your personal iCloud backup alongside other app data. This is controlled entirely by your iCloud settings and Apple's infrastructure — Steady State Labs has no access to this data and is not involved in the backup process.

Apple Health (HealthKit)

Baseline does not currently integrate with Apple HealthKit. If we add HealthKit integration in a future version, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and any HealthKit data will be handled in accordance with Apple's HealthKit privacy requirements — meaning HealthKit data is only ever read or written with your explicit permission and is never transmitted off your device by Baseline.

Your Rights

Privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK Data Protection Act, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) give users rights over their personal data — including the right to access, correct, delete, port, and restrict processing of that data.

Because Baseline collects no personal data — nothing is sent to us, and we operate no servers that hold user data — there is nothing for us to access, port, or delete on your behalf. To delete all data Baseline has stored on your device, you can either delete data from within the app's settings or uninstall the app entirely; both actions remove the data permanently from the device.

Children's Privacy

Baseline is intended for a general adult audience interested in resistance training and is not directed to children under 13. Steady State Labs does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, and the app contains no advertising, no social features, and no third-party content directed at minors. If you are a parent or guardian and have concerns about your child's use of the app, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised "last updated" date. For material changes that affect how user data is handled, Steady State Labs will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the app itself or other appropriate means before the changes take effect.
